SIX_SENSES. PLATAFORMA²

plataforma² is a contemporary art project space concealed above a  nightclub, the space presents the work of emerging and mid-career  artists in curated dialogues and solo presentations. Founded in 2020,  the exhibition program has a focus on painting, performance, video,  installation and sculpture complemented by public talks and events to  encourage discourse and critical reflection.

plataforma² will present at Galería Nueva – Las Letras on April 24 the opening of the exhibition “SIX SENSES”, a group show that invites viewers to explore the senses through the works of seven prominent contemporary artists: Ángel de Leon, Carmen Puig, Frank Jimin Hopp, Gema Gubianas, Gracia Arruiz, Mike Swaney and Vivian Alarcón.

“SIX SENSES” not only dives into sensory perception, but explores how emotions and environmental stimuli affect our interaction with the world. Each piece presented in the exhibition is an invitation to experiment, reflect and connect with the five human senses, in addition to a sixth sense, that of intuition, which permeates the works of these artists.

The opening of the exhibition will feature a special event: the exclusive screening of the short film “The Documentary of the Fourth”, directed by Nikolai A. Phalen and produced by plataforma².

This audiovisual work, which offers a surreal and profound look at the concept of dreams. This brief and informal “premiere” will allow attendees an immersive and ephemeral experience of the short film.

The exhibition can be visited until May 11 at Galería Nueva, located at Calle San Agustín 14, 28014 Madrid.
