TIRAMIRA. Z Club.

ZClub Galería (Mexico City) presents for the OFF / PHE Festival, the exhibition TIRAMIRA, which brings together the work of 14 photographers with a common theme: the landscape of Mexico, whether conceptual, urban or natural.

The project also brings together 7 Spanish visual artists, who collaborate in the intervention of some of these photographs. An assemblage of photo and line that generates a dialogue between artists and between countries; between cultures and ways of understanding contemporary photography. A collective exhibition, where the collective acquires all the greatness of its meaning by creating ‘the common work’.

TIRAMIRA is born from the power of the ‘collective’; with all the greatness that the word implies. The offering of the individual gift, the surrender of one’s own artistic foundation consecrated to the mystery of the joint work.

On one hand, the exhibition brings together 14 photographers who have left their lens and passion to portray Mexico; who have focused on the essence of the country, its waters and lands, and the challenges yet to come. The photographers present today their individual work in TIRAMIRA, their intimate artistic trajectory that each one has travelled through Mexico.

But, on the other hand, 7 Spanish visual artists have joined this voyage and this fleet. Sailing is thus enriched in exploration, in honest dialogue and in creation. The collective exhibition as a generator of the collective work. The piece in common. The assemblage of photo and stroke. Challenge, respect and understanding. An orchestra in perfect and generous harmony; in times where the ‘I’ wins almost all the battles of the ‘we’.

Barreiro and Mazoy, Cordero and Silvo. Johnson and Balanga, Powell and Ugalde. Vázquez and Alonso, Vázquez and Ragel, Wiseman and Angulo. Photographers and artists who have given life to unique pieces where the ‘my’ has fallen to pieces in intimate consecration to what is ‘ours’. A sounding board that vibrates in the ‘common’ and that strives and strives to find the aesthetics of the whole.

To feel, to connect, to express. To devise an artistic plan and to row. In the same boat, the fleet has reached port.

ZCLUB GALERIA, is a project born from the need to give diffusion and representation to Mexican and international artists linked to contemporary art in all its disciplines.

Founded in May 2019 in Mexico City, ZClub Galería has transformed the conventional model of ‘exhibition space’ to give more opportunities and options to artists seeking to present their work and consolidate their career.

Based on an exhibition model of maximum 20 days duration; to date, more than 50 Mexican and foreign artists have exhibited in ZClub Galería presenting different types of expressions and formats: photography, painting, performance, video art, design, sculpture, among others.

The artistic community that has exhibited in the gallery – called ‘ArtistaZ’ – maintains a close link with the gallery after their exhibitions and, periodically, collective events or activities are organised for them: auctions, special sales, relations with collectors, etc. In this context, the most representative event is the so-called ‘ArtistaZ Nights’, in which the ArtistaZ are invited to exhibit. This event, which takes place twice a year, has been held for 7 editions to date: the last one was in February 2025, with the presence of 25 artistZ and more than 500 attendees.
