Nice to see you. Armando Seijo.

Lapislázuli gallery is pleased to present Nice to see you, a solo exhibition by Armando Seijo, which will take place from January 16 to February 10 at the new headquarters of Galería Nueva in Carabanchel. The exhibition brings together an extensive and careful selection of 24 oil paintings from the author’s most traditional line made between 2005 and 2023, in which music, nightlife and fun take center stage.

Established in London for more than two decades, Armando Seijo (1971) shares, in his third exhibition with Lapislázuli gallery, his fascination with the world of the night and the creatures that inhabit it through the live representation of the music scene of the most bohemian London. Seijo intertwines life with art and gives himself unreservedly to his personal experience of the moment, which he himself enjoys, giving shape to a synesthetic visual account of events, openly subjective, materialized by an expressive and vibrant language marked by immediacy and transience of what is portrayed. His works reflect the beauty of a grotesque and chaotic but captivating world, in which the crowd, agitated and enchanted by music, interacts, has unbridled fun and lets itself be carried away by pleasures. An atmosphere that the author celebrates with his work and to which the opening of the exhibition, on January 16 from 7 p.m., aims to pay tribute.

This project marks the third time that Lapislázuli gallery exhibits in the Galería Nueva spaces. The other two exhibitions were the individual exhibitions of the represented artists, Javier Sánchez Bellver (March 2023) and Adrià Miko (September 2023), which took place at the Galería Nueva headquarters in Doctor Fourquet. On this occasion, and as an inauguration of the new spaces of Galería Nueva in Carabanchel, Lapislázuli occupies the new headquarters of the gallery for galleries on Alejandro Sánchez 94 street, very close to the Veta, Sabrina Amrani, Belmonte or La Oficina galleries. the new epicenter of art in Madrid.
